What are Youth Festivals ?
Youth festivals are gatherings created to honor and encourage youth by giving them a stage on which to showcase their abilities, originality, and thoughts. These festivals frequently provide a variety of events, including competitions, sports, theatre , dance, music, and art, giving young people a chance to show off their abilities and passions. They give young people a chance to mix, connect, and form enduring bonds with colleagues from various backgrounds.
Youth festivals’ primary goal is to encourage individual development. Young people can learn important life lessons, develop their communication and teamwork skills, and boost their confidence by taking part in a variety of events. A feeling of pride and self-worth can also be fostered by the sense of accomplishment that comes from participating in or performing at such festivals.
Youth festivals often highlight the value of unity and social awareness in addition to showcasing individual skills. They offer a opportunity for bringing attention to social concerns including equality, mental health, and environmental sustainability, inspiring young people to have important conversations and take action.

Youth Festival This Year : 2024
This year 2024 zonal youth festival was organized by khalsa college patiala under the guidance of Punjabi University, Patiala. There were 268 colleges participating in different zones under Punjabi University, Patiala all over the Patiala. All the colleges participated with full zeal and got positions. In the Patiala Zone, Khalsa College Patiala won Bhangra in the Zonal youth festival under Punjabi University, Patiala. Jaskaran Singh was the performer in the Yellow dress along with Daljeet Singh, his Jodidaar. In Red Dress, Harmanjot Singh and Jobandeep Singh, Blue dress, Manav Kumar and Inderbir Singh, In Green dress, Arvind Grewal and Sukhpreet Singh. Coach for this team is Harish Kumar. They all have been practicing since one month. In the morning they used to get up early in the morning and then go for running ,exercise and them meditation. taking almight’s name in the morning and then doing their exercise and remembering god to help them do good,after that Starting with the practices. Khalsa college has always supported them either it is with the lectures or with the diet. All thanks to the Principal Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha for supporting all the students participating in youth festival. Special Thanks to our Coach Sir Harish Kumar for the constant support to all of us. His scoldings, love, Humor, Lively nature made him our friend. Thank you Sir.
